If you wanna read the 1st part of this post, go to my previous post! 🙂
The attack eventually subsided and I made it through the entire class without having to leave for a minute to get fresh air! I always feel accomplished and sometimes even teary eyed when I’m able to do this. If this happened just a few weeks ago, I probably would’ve left the class and popped one of my anti-anxiety pills.
The class I had right after it happened to be in the exact same lecture hall, but I had a 15 minute break in between, so I was able to go and isolate myself in the bathroom for a bit to fully calm down and all was better.
Thank goodness I have a fun Marketing professor for the 2nd class, which helped me relax and before I knew it, I was back to normal 🙂
This just goes to show that even though you think you can’t handle it, you have to at least try and believe in yourself. I’ll always keep in mind the quote that the blog “We are all Scared” commented on my panic disorder post:
“What we resist, persists.” -Barry McDonagh
Thankfully, I went through weeks of therapy and am on good medication to also aid me in living with panic disorder.
The biggest advice I have for people is to not be afraid in reaching out for help if you need it. It can make such a difference and be life changing.
